My work imagines and visualizes life in both cities as an endless number of moving images happening simultaneously at different places in each city.

Out of these movies I select snapshots, which reveal individual images showing known places in unfamiliar settings. As a result the lines of identity and belonging of each place to each city become blurry.

Unfamiliar places can evoke emotions and experiences in a way where known places suddenly seem strange and strange places become familiar. The viewers are allowed to project their own memories into these places and to transport themselves in their imagination from one city to the other.
